A German double hinged desk box, the first opening revealing two visible drawers with leather handles below a small camouflaged door (designed to appear like a part of the frame); the second hinged opening revealing three sliding covers over small hollow compartments.

Width 16", depth 14.5", height 8.5 (41 x 37 x 22 cm).

The exterior with all wood and iron work being original and in excellent condition, with an attractive patina. The interior with a replaced lock in the first compartment (no key) and a missing lock in the second. One of the small drawers and two of the small interior covers are carefully made replacements, matching the originals very well. Minor chips and scratches commensurate with age.
