An hourglass with turned spindles and an single bulb (with bubbles in glass indicating age). Very fine sand, powdered marble, or eggshell filling. Circa 1880.

Condition: Excellent condition but spindles slightly loose.
Provenance: Newark Museum of Art, New Jersey from its Educational Loan Collection of European Artifacts.
