A Spanish wooden small box or casket covered in velvet and mounted with pierced and punched iron strapwork and domed brass studs.  16th/17th century and possibly later.

Width 14", depth 7", height 9"

Condition:  An iron lock sits underneath the velvet and iron strapwork, but with no exposed key hole, the velvet and iron coverings must have been added at a later date; likely centuries ago from the appearance and condition.  The velvet in worn and in poor condition.   Early interior paper covering, but in one place to observe the lock underneath.
