A French walnut Renaissance cabinet from the second half of the 16th century, rebuilt in the 19th century using original and many later parts.

 

Height 85", width (widest part at cornice) 38", depth (at cornice) 15.5".

 

Condition: Original doors, drawer (inside and out), back panels, various frame parts, and probably small figure in cornice and other carved elements.   Most of the entablature, the side panels, and some frame parts are later.  Early fabric.   Later locks and door knob on lower door.  Key in upper door cannot be retracted.
