A French walnut Gothic document box, 15th/16th century, with well-carved gothic tracery to the front.  Illegible letters above lock area.
 
Length 19", depth 12.5", height 12.5".
 
Condition: Repair to lower portion of the front; slight warp to top; worm holes commensurate with age.  Old replaced lock and key, but missing lock plate.  Nice old patina.
